My Favourite Shoes

The Eject shoe company in Portugal has been making shoes for over 27 years and I stumbled upon this brand on April 16, 2009. Why do I remember this date? This was the date that I fell in love with these booties which I had found at a local boutique.
The price was insane however I instantly bought them and rationalized that it was only one week that our family would have to do without food. After all, we could always forage for nuts and berries in the local forest!
Since then, I have bought several pairs of Eject shoes at a much better price. However, they are not for the faint of heart. These shoes are loud and colourful. I have been stopped on the street on more than one occasion and asked where I had purchased my shoes.

Eject also produces another line which is called Prophesy (our secret). They are quite literally a secret because they are not easy to find on their website. The company brands itself as making shoes that are "irreverent and innovative" and this is certainly an accurate description. The materials are original and have great detailing.
The Eject shoes generally are more vibrant and look like they are full of energy while the Prophesy line are more subdued yet still command attention.

Currently, there are three retailers in Holland that carry both brands, No Kidding Shoes in Haarlem, Walky Shoe Mode in Arnemuiden and Frans Houben in Sittard. Of course you can also purchase these shoes from the Eject online store as well as from the Prophesy online store at prophesy-shoes.com.
The next hole in my pocket book will probably happen because of these blue ghillie ties. Unfortunately for all you ladies in Holland, as far as I know they are only available to the American market at amazon.com.
