comes with me when Fluevog has their new collections in and will give his honest opinion when I am trying on yet another pair of shoes. I like to think that I am equally good when it comes to him indulging in his passion of antiques. Occasionally we can even combine the two.
However, when it comes to my love affair with wedges he literally recoils and shudders. I own one pair and he has politely said that they are not his favourite in my collection. Well my love affair just peaked again when I spotted these. They have proven to be very popular; they are sold out. But Solestruck will let you know when they are back in stock.
Speaking of Fluevog, these brought a big smile to my face when I saw them this week.
Unfortunately, at this price I will need to wait until these go on sale. John Fluevog has part of his spring 2011 styles now on line. I am smitten with the design of many of these shoes because they are not mainstream, extremely comfortable and timeless.
If you have never checked out John Fluevog’s websiteyou are in for a treat.
Liam Fahy for a touch of spring
Pink, ribbons, satin and stilettos... does it come any more feminine?
These shoes remind me of cherry blossoms in spring. A welcome thought as we are battling yet another cold snap. The lace up around the ankle and even up the calf is a beautiful and graceful trend we will see more of as spring and summer stock arrives in the stores. These shoes are from a debut collection by Liam Fahy.
Mr. Fahy was born in Zimbabwe, studied footwear design at De Montfort University in England and eventually ended up doing his apprenticeship with Rupert Sanderson. I have not found these on sale yet but you can check back at his website.
