Three Things on Thursday Hits and misses for fall and winter

Today, some fall footwear by three designers and they all, by coincidence, start with an M.

These three caught my eye for their shapes, one bold, one ultra feminine and and one well... we will come to that.

Miista

Lets start with the bold Batilda from Miista. A bootie with some serious attitude in beautiful colours that evoke the 70's.
Buckles, and a plethora of them on your boots, are everywhere this coming season. This bootie delivers on many fronts and is absolutely right on trend. Miista is based in London and this fall they will bring their first fall/winter collection to stores worldwide. The new collection will be in stores and on line in September with a price range from 100-185 pounds.

Miu Miu

Next up Miu Miu. Graceful, elegant and yet very different in a subtle way. The flared heel. We have seen some of this in extremes last season but this particular heel is right on. Miu Miu is not the only one doing this so keep your eyes open for a more affordable shoe soon to come your way. Miu Miu cannot do much wrong as far as I am concerned, and this particular shoe proves so yet again. Elegance in beautiful green suede.

Maison Martin Margiela

Finally.... well, not so much a hit in my books. At first I thought the glue had not held the sole in place. But alas, I was wrong. This is fully intended to be an open arch detail. The mysterious and anonymous designer (Because he shrouds himself in mystery, no interviews, pics etc... There are no pics of himon the net except I believe one fuzzy one....) made us do a double take. There usually is at least one shoe in the collection that makes me scratch my head. For this winter, this is the one. They can be pre-ordered and will ship at the end of August for $1075.00 USD. Glue not included.
