My Favourite Shoes

Although the warmer weather is just around the corner, sometimes a sunny day is still cold because of the wind.  I can only imagine that this would be even more of an issue if you have to jump on your bike on a regular basis.  Zomerlaarzen
Many a summer day here in Vancouver and I know in Holland as well, can be on the cool side.  I would suggest that summer boots are the answer on days like these.

Boots are acceptable in the summer

Only in recent years has this been an acceptable fashion in my corner of the world. Once the winter months were over the first thing that women did was put their boots away until next year.
The reason for this was that boots were only supposed to be worn during the cold winter months although rain boots could be worn during the rainy months of spring. The fact is that wearing boots in the hot summer months was not something that nice women did. The only kind of women that wore boots in the summer were women that were looking for "attention" therefore upstanding women did not wear their boots in the summer.

How times change, because it is no longer just the cowgirls and "attention seeking" women who wear boots during the summer months. Let me point out however that it is not just any boot that is acceptable during the summer months.

Light coloured comfort

Designs that are assured to get you the right kind of attention and keep you cozy but not overheated should be light weight, light coloured, casual, knee high or mid-calf with a low heel or a flat sole.

As for me, I especially like the slouchy boots in the summer.
