Festive embellishments

A few weeks ago it was graduation time. All high school students come dressed in their finest formal wear for the dinner and commencement evening to celebrate their accomplishments after twelve years of schooling. I had the privilege to attend grad this year as two of my favorite girls graduated.

Of course my eyes were drawn to what the girls were wearing on their feet. There were plenty of high heels, glitter runners with a long dress and some flats. It was the flats in particular that I was taken with. Wearing flats with a long evening gown is not something I would have thought about but these gals pulled it off with some great style.

It sent me to the internet to look at what was out there this season for some festive embellished flat sandals. Surprisingly, the choice seems almost overwhelming. Of course the Prada chandelier flats would have you enter your soire on a very festive note. I am also thinking that people will be able to hear you coming as all these acrylic jewels will merrily announce your arrival. Beads, gold, glitter and even an Eiffel tower are the makings of a day walking in comfort and yet not having some boring practicalities on your feet. Best of all, they carry you right into the evening hours with some glamour. Here are some that caught my eye.
